Battle sprites
Notes:
- Usable for SFII ROM hacks as long as no weapon sprite is loaded, which is the standard for master monks.
- Intended to be shared with Sarah, hence why it doesn't have her volumous hair.
- The flowers on her clothes are entirely my whim, her name has always reminded me of carnations.
- The 5th and 7th sprites on each row are intended as alternative final hits.
Portraits
Notes:
- Inspired by the novel, though I always felt like doing this for multiple characters one day. My brain chemistry was defined by playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon at the tender age of nine years old.
- Usable for SFII ROM hacks.

- Not usable for SFII ROM hacks. Just did it for a joke lol
Misc.
Notes:
- Usable for Shining Soul II ROM hacks. Already used in Shining Soul II ROM hacks :)
- Note that in total, there are more than 16 colors used here (not counting the alt palettes). Shining Soul II allows for different palettes for each set of sprites, so I could use different colors for each weapon. I was too lazy to setup different colors for them on status effects though, they work fine anyway.
- Due to some coding mistake, the priestess' praying sprites don't show up when charging spells, but I did them anyway. Hopefully I'll learn how to fix that one day.
- Her playing lyre in the character select screen is a reference to the novel, I hope to get to read the whole thing one day.
- Her blonde palette was supposed to be a reference to Taya, but making the eyes blue would change her mouth as well. The wonders of retro games. I still compromised a bit with the purple/brown mouths on other palettes because I don't think it's that weird.
- Still, Taya's original pink and blue colors ended up very trans right-y, so I just did the last palette that, plus more pride stuff for funsies.
- The holy palette does have a weird golden mouth as well, but it's a special magical thing so again I think it's acceptable.
- The ground smashing was my first idea for a knuckles special, but it didn't match the movement in game. And now that I've played, throwing yourself punching at a mass of enemies is more fun.
- The open book idle didn't work out because those sprites are also used in the run cycle by the game, and running with an open book is just weird.
- Speaking of run cycles, their positioning in game also didn't work well with the sprites with hair swept, so she's missing the hair bounce in one direction. A shame because bouncing hair is cuter, which is why I kept it in other angles even though it mismatches things a little.
